The QCAA Force 4th Grade team finished in sixth place at the 2014 AAU Division II nationals in Mooresville this week.
The Force became the first QCAA team not in high school to finish in the top 10 of an AAU national event.
QCAA came through a four-team pool that included three AAU state champions and ultimately produced two of the top six teams in the national tournament. During the national event, the Force only lost to teams that finished in the top five and earned wins over two teams that placed in the top 10.
During the event, the team won its 50th game of the season and now has 99 wins in its first two seasons. In that two-year span, the team has won 22 tournaments, two national championships, been runner-up in a third national event and now has the top 10 AAU finish.
Additionally, the QCAA Force "Red" 4th Grade team also placed at nationals, earning the No. 12 spot.
