| In last month’s 2010 North Carolina AAU State Championships, our local Charlotte based QCAA Force 10U Red basketball team won the 10U Division 1 North Carolina AAU State Championship in Greensboro, NC. In the state semi-final game, the QCAA Force beat the Running Rebels of Raleigh 35-28. In the State Championship game at Greensboro Day School, the 10U QCAA Force Red Team upset the two-time AAU Division 1 State Champion Greensboro Galaxy by one point on a last second shot in a thrilling 29-28 victory. QCAA Force point guard Chase Praeger found fellow guard Langston Wertz, III on a back door pass for the winning shot at the buzzer. The QCAA Force backcourt threesome of Langston Wertz, Chase Praeger and Darian Bell led the team in scoring during the two (2) week tournament along with forward John Crump who scored 8 points in the Championship game to lead all scorers. This same QCAA team won the Division 2 AAU NC State Championship last year as well as winning the 2009 USBA National Championship. QCAA Force 10U State Champion Players include; #5 – Marcus Henderson #10 – Cameron Montague #12 – Langston Wertz, III #15 – Chase Praeger #20 – Chase Foley #21 – John Crump #22 – Darian Bell #33 – Triston Miller #42 – Kevin Tate #55 – Brian “BJ” Mack Coaches include, Michael Praeger of Cornelius, Kelvin Montague of Davidson, and Derrick Bell of Harrisburg. Coach Mike Praeger and the QCAA FORCE 9U Red Team won the 2009 USBA National Championship by defeating the Tennessee Elite in the championship game. The team was lead by its outstanding guard trio of Chase Praeger, Darian Bell & Tre Wertz. The team also received solid play inside from big man B.J. Mack.
